Farm to Table

Our chefs love to customize menus that feature fresh seasonal ingredients grown or made in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and surrounding communities.  We are fortunate to have an abundance of organic produce, high quality cheeses, specialty meats, fresh made pasta, and local bakeries, all within 100 miles of us.  Farm to Table menus allow you to really focus on the very best local ingredients from small mom and pop farms, for your time of year, and you can feel good knowing that you are keeping the carbon footprint of your wedding to a minimum.  Because these menus feature seasonal product from smaller, more expensive sources, they do require some flexibility in the menu the weeks preceding your event and a little bigger budget.  All of our menus incorporate organic produce and a variety of local options, but the Farm to Table menu goes a step beyond to feature ingredients from smaller companies whose products are not commercially available.  We personally visit all of these businesses the days proceeding your event to obtain the freshest, highest quality products being harvested or prepared the week of your event.

Pricing varies greatly based on ingredients chosen and whether you would like a buffet, family style, or a more formal plated meal.   Below is a sample Family Style Farm to Table menu for July/August, priced at $125/pp plus service charge and tax for 100+ guests ($115/pp for 75-99 guests). Buffet style saves $7/pp

Passed Appetizers

  • Farm Fresh Crostini’s including Cowgirl Creamery Triple Cheese,  Borba Farms Blackberries, Purple Basil and Humboldt Fog Cheese, Corralitos Prosciutto, Organic Nectarines, drizzled with Kimes Apiary Honey
  • Grilled Corralitos Cheesy Bavarian and Smokey Beef Sausage with Dipping Sauces
  • Vegan Garlic Stuffed Monterey Mushroom caps with Local Sourdough Bread, Gilroy Garlic and Fresh Organic Herbs

Plated Salad Course

  • Organic Small Farm Field Greens with Yellow and Purple Beets, Crumbled Goat Cheese, Toasted California Pistachios and Edible Flowers. Served with Balsamic Fig Reduction
  • Fresh Local Companion Bakeshop Sourdough Bread served sliced on Wooden Board with Whipped Herb Butter with Shaved Sea Salt

Family Style Platters

  • Fresh Grilled Monterey Bay Wild Salmon with Preserved Meyer Lemon Rub and Herb Drizzle. Garnished with Microgreens
  • Aptos Fogline Chicken with Chili, Garlic, Paprika, Cumin, Turmeric and Coriander. Garnished with Grilled Lemons, Pearl Onions and Fresh Herbs
  • Santa Cruz Pasta Factory Caramelized Onion and Gruyere Ravioli, lightly tossed with Olive Oil, Pine Nuts, and Shaved Parmesan
  • Grilled Fire Roasted Castroville Artichokes with Balsamic Aioli Dipping Sauce
  • Roasted Small Farm Fingerling Potatoes with Garlic and Rosemary
